We have two cats. The older, a grey striped male is named Stinkey. He was a stray (both were) and he had some intestinal issues when we first took him in. The big joke was pet him, but don't squeeze!
Our second cat is a white short hair named Triskit. When we got her we lived in a pretty ghetto neighborhood and we joked that she was a cracker, so we called her Triskit.
We had an older cat named Annie, that my dad's wife had taken in and named (Annie, as in Little Orphan). We would not have called her that, and more often she was Annikat or Annikins. We lost her the summer of 2008 to old age.
I don't think we'll have any more pets for awhile after these two pass on.

Our dog is named Echo. No reason, really, other than it was just about the only name that DH, DS, and I could all agree on.

We had some when I was pregnant with Uther. When a couple escaped from the cage, our dog Ricky licked them to death. Served them right.

To be fair, Chips was a big fatty who ate all the food. I think PB just got so hungry he couldn't take it anymore. It was so gross. He ate his head. Dd came up the stairs and saw all the blood and freaked. We told her Chips just got too fat and exploded. PB is honestly the best hamster I have ever had. Not once has he bit a human and he likes to be held and petted.

Our dog is named Dorian. We just call her fat butt Dori though.
Hamsters are gross little things. E just asked me if she could see a "real zhu zhu pet" today, meaning a hamster. I shuttered because that means it is only so long before she is begging me for one of her own. Boo!

My dogs are Sandy and Chester. Both were the names they had in rescue, so we kept them. Chester actually fits him PERFECTLY. Sandy, not so much, but it almost makes it funny how much the name doesn't fit her personality. You know Princess fits Princess Buttercup to a T. She is so dainty - she will not walk on wet grass hardly at all - she will step off the sidewalk to the grass to pee - she even will walk the tighrope of our pavers to avoid the grass. She also is a dainty eater - taking a few peices & then leaving the room to drop them on the floor & eat one at a time.

But we tend to only buy rodents as food for the snakes. My son had a snake until February this year. Her name was Gon Sarah (he meant to name her after the lead singer in AC/DC Bon Scott but forgot the name). My other son has a snake Bobbi Jo but that resides at his house.

my hamsters name was Xavier...i came home to find him stuck in his tube paralyzed. I called pet 911(they said Hes a dang hamster, let him die) and scared my dad to death crying that "he's dying" (he had no idea who Xavier was). Poor thing died in my hand. But I agree with evilness..that is the only time I held him without gloves on because he would bite like crazy!

We only have one pet and her name is Ginger. I wanted to name her Isis or Athena, but I was out voted. The kids liked Ginger because she is about the color of ginger. Looking back neither of my name choices would have fit, since she is so meek. Her name at Animal Control was Chyna after the wrestler.
We used to have a bunny named Mr. Jelly Beans. He was an Easter gift from my mom and I thought N's name choice was great.
N really wants a lizard or snake of some kind. The kid has been obsessed with them for years. DH won't allow hamsters or guinea pigs in the house. His sisters had them when they were kids and he can't stand them.

We have a 1 dog named Luci Fur. We just usually call her Luci.
She is a chihuahua and he mother and father were named Monster and Killer so I had to come up with a mean/evil name too. I wanted it to be cute though so I came up with Luci Fur!
We did have two guinea pigs. We named them Phineas and Ferb! They were so cute but they fought all the time and my son didn't like to hold them because of their claws....we gave them away.

My boyfriend's cat is named Ronnie, after his favorite musician (Ronnie James Dio).
We also have two guinea pigs, Lily and Luna. My daughter named Lily (no apparent reason other than that she liked the name), and I named Luna (I thought it sounded good to go along with Lily). For awhile I really liked the idea of calling them Thing One and Thing Two after The Cat in the Hat, and sometimes I use those as nicknames.

Otis is my handsome lazy dumb mutt. He just looks like an Otis.
Daisy is my cat. I adopted her along with her buddy who was named Duke.

We have 6 cats. The oldest & my first baby, is Simeon. He is 9 and was the love of my life before I met dh. <3 I got his name from a really baaaaaaaaaaad movie that one of my favorite little known actors was in. That was his name in the movie. It suits him. He showed up in my life at a time when I desperately needed someone to love. I had just gotten out of a very dysfunctional 8 1/2 yr relationship. I was severely depressed and pretty much only left the house to go to work. Sim showed up in my mom's garage & she took care of him for a few days. She's allergic so she called me. He saved my life. Love that kitty! Izzy is the next oldest. Her full name is Isabelle but we call her Izzy. I got her when I moved to Anderson to be closer to dh. I was leaving Simeon alone a lot and felt like he needed a friend to keep him company. I agonized over whether or not to get another cat. I did lots of research and decided I wanted a female black & white tuxedo kitty. Found Izzy at Petsmart in Anderson. I visited her several times, took dh in one night to ask his opinion (he wasn't my dh yet) and ended up bringing her home. I always wanted a little girl named Isabelle so I could call her Izzy. Then there's Alex. :/ PAIN in the butt cat! He was supposed to be dh's cat. We were engaged and I was watching Skylar one night. He showed up at my apartment to pick her up with this tiny little kitten in his arms. Al was supposed to be HIS cat. Little did he know he was very sick. I had to take him to the vet and nurse him back to health. Yea, guess whose cat he is? And he follows me around the house meowing at me constantly. Skylar named him after a boy in her preschool class. Graycie, Peyton & Lexi are litter mates. They were found with their 2 other litter mates, in a drainage ditch. Lexi had a twin and I remember thinking they were 2 of the prettiest kittens I had ever seen. One of dh's coworkers took her twin. Their other litter mate was adopted by a family we ran in to at Petsmart when we went to by milk for them. They were only about 3 or 4 weeks old, weighed about 7 oz, were completely covered in fleas & had to be bottle fed. We were supposed to only keep them through the weekend and take them to the Humane Society on Monday. They wouldn't take them that small. I knew if they stayed at our house a couple months, there was NO way I'd be able to take them to the Humane Society. Dh told me NOT to name them (bc he knew once they were named they weren't going anywhere.) Little did he know that I'd already secretly named Graycie. LOL She's solid gray. Real original, huh? He named Lexi. Her real name is Alexis. She looks similar to Alex so he named her after him. Funny, they are mortal enemies! And Peyton, who was the runt and the one I wasn't sure would survive, was named after Peyton Manning. Peyton is the second largest cat in our house now. He is so beautiful but is so scared of everything. Love my furbabies.
