I ended up just uploading a facebook pic to photobucket. Then used their URL and just copy and pasted it.

Photobucket is free, and easy. You can upload straight from your computer, copy and paste the link. Easy.

Ah ha!!! when you're trying to change (or add) an avatar, make sure you enter your password otherwise you can't make any changes... I just spent like 20 minutes changing mine from the fabulous Julia to the beautiful Lavanya.  |

I tried to have my "Om" but I lost the graphic on my computer and don't have it on my photobucket. I did have this one though, which is still black and white and this was first choice before I found the trademark Mama T "Om". I am proud of myself -- I had an avatar on here before almost anyone else!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is having trouble with this!!! I tried to do the URL directly from fb but that didn't work...
