How are we going to make this site grow? Or do we want to? In my mind, I would love all the fun, interesting, thought provoking, etc. moms from mlm to migrate over here. Leave the drama whores there and make this site feel like a home. What does everyone else think? I already linked Hoosier Mamas on my FB.

How do we link to this on Facebook. I think gradually, productive folks will migrate over. We might get some people back who left. Krista would be awesome to have back!

jendher--to link it on your facebook, at the top of your home page where it says "what's on your mind" click "link" and then insert a link to hoosier mamas home page :-) As for adding new members, I really think social media is the quickest way to add new members, especially ones we would essentially "want" because they will initially be all of our friends and family. And just encourage people you know by WOM. :-) As for that other site, as much as I love the pretty layout and enjoy some popcorn with the drama, it's sad that some people who really need help or advice get lost in the shuffle because of that drama...So, I look forward to seeing this site grow!

Another way to get the word out is to share interesting threads on here to your social networking page (like Facebook or Twitter). If you look up at the top and bottom in the blue bar, you'll see a link to "share" a thread. Just click that and select the site you're sharing with, and it'll post it. That way, people will see the actual topics we're discussing.
I think word of mouth can go pretty far, if everyone tells someone else about it and that person tells someone else, etc.

Until all those new members come, you should keep writing writing and writing. There should be many new posts, many responses, plenty of the info. It would KEEP new members here.

I've had a terrible couple of days at work and I was thinking about seeking support and a pat on the shoulder. I realized that I would actually feel comfortable posting here, which is very nice!

I don't think hostility is unavoidable. The thread of being smited helps though!

I don't know if anyone followed the link over, but I'm friends with a lot of moms, and a lot that aren't on the other site either.
