Please vote for how public you'd like to see this discussion board be.
We can limit who can view and reply to posts. We can also set it up by board, so certain boards can be completely open to the public and others can require you to have an account.
Some things to consider: requiring visitors to have an account before they can read may mean lower participation if people click away instead of reading and then signing up for an account. If you share a post on Facebook or another social networking site, your friends will not be able to read it unless they have an account here.
However, limiting public viewing may reduce any potential online stalking. It's not a guarantee, of course, since anyone can sign up for an account, but it may help.
If we do decide to lock down the boards, I would at least recommend keeping our site information section open to guests, even for posting. That way anyone who has questions about joining, or existing members who may be having problems logging in, can still read and post.
