Abbi its so good to see you here. Completly off subject.. But I was in Ft. Wayne a few weeks ago and thought about you. It was a church function so I couldn't ask if you wanted to meet anywhere. Sorry

Sorry Awww, I would have loved to see you, but I know how those things are! If you are ever up here and have some free time I'd love to meet up! That goes for any of you!

I'm excited that I "found" this site thanks to the women of Yarn Nerds. I am new to Indianapolis. I moved here from Annapolis, Maryland and really want to plug in and find the places that "feed my soul." My kids are grown and I live alone now. I am a substitute teaching in hopes of logging enough hours to be certified.
I got divorced about 4 years ago and also feel new at the independent thing.
I believe that we should be as close to nature as possible. I believe our environment, especially the "food" we typically consume is toxic in many ways, and am in the process of cleaning out my house of as many things that aren't good for me, as possible.
Hmmm...what else can I tell you? I, too like to do things the old fashioned way. I knit and weave baskets, make cheese....sometimes I think I was born in the wrong century! But then when it gets cold, I turn the heat up and am VERY GRATEFUL to be here now!
I love to sing and miss performing in Community Theater or in a small group or choir. I'm very outgoing and thrive when I'm involved w people and projects. I believe that our spirituality is the most important part of our existence.
So thanks for this site! And I hope we can get to know each other and help each other too!

Hello everyone! I was Dee_0213 on the other site too. I know I've been wrapped up in school so I'm not sure what happened but it certainly doesn't feel the same. Anyway.... I am married to Jerry and we've been together for 9 years, I have 4 kids (3 girls and 1 boy) only the youngest daughter and my son are still at home. I also have a grandson and granddaughter. Oh and my 2 chihauhau's who think they are my kids too. After going through congestive heart failure, I quit my job and went back to college. This is quite the challenge...LOL. I garden, grow most of our veggies, can or freeze them. I cook from scratch and bake our goodies, it's what I enjoy. Most of my neighbors think I'm nuts because I've never really adapted to the city, I am just a country girl at heart.

Jen here (JennHW). I'm really socially inept unless I am making dull, legalistic observations. And I have a secret thing for Fred Thompson (but only in Law and Order). jender, what kind of law do you practice?

I'm married to Jeremy...10 years now. I'm a sahm of 3. 2 boys and 1 girl. I love to scrapbook and take pictures. I love to read a book when I get the chance. I actually joined the book club on the other site. But never got to participate.
I love to shop and get a good bargin.
I still sell vibrators, dildos and other fun stuff, too.

Hi! I'm Cheryl...Chey on the other site also. It's just an easy name. I'm 44, been through a divorce, remarried, have 8 kids between us. Raising 6 of them. Age range...17, 16, 15, 13, 11 and 4! I used to be a jr high/high school English teacher, but am now a sahm mom and do hair on the side out of my house. (yes, I'm licensed)....but I charge half what I did in the salon if anyone is interested! I don't get into stylist wars though....so leave me out of that!
My kids are involved in lots of stuff...marching band, rugby, football, basketball, baseball, soccer, lacrosse, Indianapolis Children's Choir. So if I seem frazzled at times...throw some chocolate at me please!
