Hi! I'm momtoanew. I had no clue this site has been going on for so long. Kind of sad I didn't hear about it back then! But I'm glad I heard about it now!
I've missed you ladies! Is everyone here yet? :-)

Evangelica - Wow, I had no clue you lived abroad! And seven kids to boot, how did I miss that? That is amazing, lol! I haven't been to the Alsace region, but I did travel to Paris and Zurich, and I fell absolutely in love with Z and the rest of Switzerland. I'm so jealous that you get to live there. Europe is an absolutely amazing place! I hope to travel there again someday! It's so nice to see you on here! The 6th and 7th just arrived in January:) IF you go to Europe, let me know...I'll make ya dinner! Now it's bugging me, who are you? Who, who? Aww my dad's been in France and Switzerland since the beginning of June! He comes home on Tuesday. I've been trying to get him to bring me along since he goes yearly but he never does

I've been on here a while but never did the intro post so here goes. My name is Karrie...please don't think that I'm conceited b/c of my screen name. I don't find myself all that fabulous...I used to be trlrfabulous (trailer fabulous) when I was trying to embrace my living in a trailer park and make the best of a situation that I wasn't happy in. When I moved, housefabulous didn't sound very appealing...so I changed to my first name. It's much easier when I meet people IRL anyway I am 33, I have a 9YO DS, 6YO DD, 2YO DS and a 12YO SS. I've been married for 3 years (2nd marriage for both of us) and we have a blended family. I work from home and I plan weekly playdates for people on the westside. LMK if you ever want to join us

Hello! My name is Aileen, and I was invited to join HM, and created an account just last night! I'll admit I scanned a little bit around the message boards before finally posting an introduction! It's very neat to see so many ladies here with different backgrounds/beliefs/marital statuses/some with jobs,WAHMs and SAHMs, and I appreciate how despite all the many differences, I find that there's still a level of respect and room for sharing/discussion without so much attacking on our differences. That's why I decided to stick around- I think I'm gonna like it here! I enjoyed reading many of the threads, particularly the religion section because I am a believer in Christ, and it was interesting to see so many others' take on religion. I wanted to point out that as a Christian I don't frown upon others' beliefs. Those that know me know that I do not carry a 'holier than thou' attitude. I belong to a wonderful church home, and it would be surprising to many to find that as Christians we never claim to be perfect. Only He alone is perfect and as I believer, I believe that as humans we are naturally sinners. We all have our stories and history like everyone else that we're not proud of... and I think that's one of the many things that bring believers together, is that we all agree we need a Saviour. We can never be Christ. But we can try our best to be Christ-Like. As humans we WILL fail, because of our sinful nature. So I'm pointing out that I'm not perfect. I will never claim to be. And I know that many will not agree with my point of view. And that's OKAY. I am not here to convert, or to point fingers... but you'll find in any responses I give, it'll most likely be Bible-focused. I believe that Scripture is God-breathed, and the Holy Bible is truth. So again, I'm not responding to questions because I'm 'miss know-it-all', I respond to questions as I see truth revealed. I don't expect everyone to be okay with my answers, and that's alright. I have many friends that are not believers, and I love how from time to time one of them will write me with questions they have, things that have been bothering them about scripture, or what not, and ask me to help them understand the meaning behind it. Surprisingly enough, many of my non-believing friends ask me for prayer requests as well! And I enjoy that - I'm not a bible scholar, I'm not a theologist (I know that's not spelled right, but oh well), but I do try and answer to the best of my ability from what I've learned in my faith walk. I'm still growing, and I'm still learning. I am happily married to my husband of 5 years, I have a 11yr old dd, 3yr old ds, and an almost 2yr old dd. I am a SAHM, but am considering going back into the workfield to have a little 'play money' for the things my family enjoys doing together. We live in Greenwood, we moved here a little over 2yrs ago. I have enjoyed scrapbooking, cooking, antique shopping, church, family activities, travel - and recently I've taken an interest in container gardening, bird watching, and I'd love to learn how to sew. Oh, I'm not tech-savvy. I hardly get online, I don't know how to use my Android, and I miss the old days when we used to get letters in THE MAIL with postage on them. LOL Call me old-fashioned, I guess I just belong in another era.

I don't remember if I did this or not when I joined. If I did, blame it on my age...lol
My name is Dee, I was Dee_0213 on IndyMoms. I am married to Jerry and our girls are 23, 19 and 14 and our son is 7. Our grandkids are 1 1/2 and 2 1/2.
Right now I am a full time student studying English/Communication in the hopes of eventually teaching English in College. For those that don't know, I started this journey at this stage in my life because of an accident I had that resulted in a serious head injury and I can't go back to my previous career. So I'll find a new one...LOL. If the head injury wasn't challenging enough, I had heart failure in 2010. Yea, not much can keep me down. On the upside, I am 1 1/2 years tobacco free now!
I'm a country girl who married a city boy and am trying to fit in here. I have our beef butchered every year, I grow and can/freeze/dry most of our veggies. However, I can't grow flowers to save my life! I love to cook and bake and when I have time, I love to sew and quilt.
I'm not real exciting...I am just a Mom!

Hello, Dee, welcome!! I just joined recently - your post made me chuckle, because I always said the opposite - "I'm a city girl married to a country boy." But I have to say, having lived out in the country for the first 2.5 years we've been married, I've developed a love and appreciation for it. Now that we're back in the 'city' ... I'm often longing to return back to country living! Again, welcome!

I'm EvaMarie, just about everywhere. Born on the Southside, I remember when the mall was open air and had dolphin shows and balloon races. The Olympic torch ran past our house in 1980. I've always been in Indy, mainly living downtown or Southside as an adult. I'm 36, work too much, never sleep enough, can't get out of the house due to DH's crazy schedule, lover of travel and geekgurl. I garden, try to eat as well as our DS and come across as a know-it-all due to not being able to forget trivial information of no importance. Oh, and I have an online contest/sweep/coupon habit. I just can't help but put my name in the hat for things. But, if you ever want to waste a bunch of time, meet strange people and have your mailbox full of junk, I'm your girl. Seriously, watch out as I need to spreaad some word about taster's choice (you know those stick packets? Click this for a free sample. www.tasterschoice.com/offers/free-sample.aspx I'm an ambassador!) and other products. No, I don't sell them, so don't blame me if you get hooked.

LOL The red highlighted part is me too...no one will play Jeopardy with me...LOL I enter tons of crap too and have won my fair share too. I think my best so far was a few years ago I won a contest and took hubby to eat lunch with Dale Jarrett (Nascar driver) and got him tickets to the Brickyard to boot. Oh and love the tasters choice sticks but I'll click on your link for a free sample.

I'll reintroduce myself since I haven't been on in a while (and cuz I need more posts, yo). I'm Meg. I'm a SAHM to my 4 1/2 year old daughter and 16 month old son. I was Merykk on IndyMoms once upon a time and haven't been on in forever. This site has grown since I was last on here.
